The White Horse
The White Horse Inn dates to the 1600’s and is a Grade two listed building In Surrey. In the mid-19th century Charles Dickens took residence, writing the Pickford Papers.
The team were instructed to obtain planning and listed building consent as well as building control approval. The project presented many challenges, preserving and restoring the oak beams, wood flooring and lath and plaster walls. The contemporary design has taken its cues from the detail, materials and history of the building.
The full refurbishment included 56 boutique style bedrooms, a bar, a bistro and a bakery coffee shop.
